About.
The Stimulator is an excellent small stream dry fly, from mid to late season it will bring up fish.
I carry it as an attractor pattern, it is also my go to pattern for large mayflies and grass hoppers.
For me it is mainly a trout fly although I have had some big Grayling take it.
Tied on a size 10 barbless hook, my preferred tying is on a standard length shank, the normal tying is on a longer shank.
If you prefer the standard commercial tying they are available in the dry fly section (they are also cheaper in there)
